WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball team will play College of Faith from West Memphis, Ark., at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the Joe Paul Evans Arena at the West Plains Civic Center.
The Grizzlies were originally scheduled to play God’s Academy of Dallas, Texas, in a make-up game due to inclement weather, but officials with God’s Academy pulled out of the contest late this week, Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Yancey Walker said. College of Faith confirmed its participation in the game Friday, he added.
Prior to the game, the boys basketball teams from Lutie and Summersville High Schools will play at 5 p.m.
In addition, as part of their community service project for the evening, the Grizzly Basketball team is asking fans to bring new or gently used books to donate to the “Read While You Wait” program sponsored by the Child and Family Development Department at Missouri State-West Plains or farming tools for Whetstone Boys Ranch near Mtn. View.
