DR. HERB LUNDAY, dean of student services at Missouri State University-West Plains, received the Staff Excellence in Public Affairs Award during the Missouri State University Board of Governors meeting Thursday, May 15, in Springfield. The award is given to a full-time staff member who excels at carrying out the university’s public affairs mission. Lunday was recognized for his service to the West Plains community through various capacities, including membership on several civic organization boards, numerous fund-raising drives for various organizations and causes, and service on several governmental boards and committees, including the West Plains Planning and Zoning Commission and the West Plains Home Rule Charter Commission.
