WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball player Laiz Novaes will be taking her academic and athletic talents to the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, N.Y., beginning this fall.
Novaes, a 5-foot, 8-inch right side attacker/defensive specialist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, signed a national letter of intent last week to play for the Tigers, an NCAA Division III school in the Liberty League Athletic Conference.
“We are very excited for Laiz to continue her education and playing career at the Rochester Institute of Technology next fall,” Grizzly Volleyball Head Coach Paula Wiedemann said. “She has worked hard on the court to give herself the opportunity to be a leader at her new school, and she excels in the classroom. She will do great things, both academically and athletically, at RIT and will represent Missouri State-West Plains and Grizzly Volleyball very well at her new school.”
