WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Area residents looking for a teaching position next fall are invited to attend the annual Teacher Placement Day Feb. 27 in Gohn Hall, 603 W. Main St., on the Missouri State University-West Plains campus.
Hosted by the Missouri State University Teacher Education Completion Program on the West Plains campus, the event will give students who are in their final semester of an education program and education program graduates the opportunity to meet with administrators from school districts in Missouri State-West Plains’ seven-county primary service area, as well as with administrators from several north-central Arkansas districts, and apply for open teaching positions in those districts. The free interviewing and application session is set for 9 a.m. to noon that day, organizers said.
The session is open not only to Missouri State University education program students and graduates, but also to students and graduates of education programs at other area institutions, organizers said.
Officials at area school districts who would like to participate in the interview session should preregister. For more information about Teacher Placement Day or to preregister, call the Missouri State University Teacher Education Completion Program office at 417-255-7930.
