WEST PLAINS, Mo. – “Missouri State University-West Plains’ TRiO – Making Connections” will be the topic of the Friends of the Garnett Library monthly luncheon meeting Friday, Nov. 11, on the Missouri State-West Plains campus.
Mary Kellum, coordinator of the federally-funded TRiO Student Support Services, will discuss how the program has been helping first generation, low income and disabled students make connections at the university that will help them succeed in college. “Our goals are persistence, retention and graduation with good academic standing,” she said. “We have been doing this for the past five-and-a-half years.”
The luncheon and meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in rooms 104 and 105 on the lower level of the Lybyer Technology Center. Parking is available in the lot off Cass Avenue on the north side of the building.
