  • All invited to tree lighting ceremony Dec. 8

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Everyone is invited to the 11th annual tree lighting ceremony at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Lybyer Technology Center at Missouri State University-West Plains.

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Officials at Missouri State University-West Plains have launched an online campaign to raise funds for a huddle space in the Garnett Library for #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement that has been driven by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world.

  • Grizzlies sign 1st volleyball recruit for 2017 season

    GRANBY, Mo. – Paula Wiedemann, head coach of the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team, picked up her first recruit for the 2017 season this week when Missouri Class 3A All-State honorable mention honoree Koty Cooper of East Newton High School in Granby inked her letter of intent.
    FIRST SIGNING FOR 2017 SEASON – Paula Wiedemann, head coach of the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team, picked up her first recruit for the 2017 season this week when Missouri Class 3A All-State honorable mention honoree Koty Cooper of East Newton High School in Granby inked her letter of intent. Cooper racked up numerous honors her senior season, including Big 8 Conference Player of the Year, while helping her Lady Patriots to a 17-15 season record. “We are excited to have Koty as a part of our incoming freshman class. She is athletic and continues to improve in her ability to play the game. Her size and strength make her a presence on the floor, and we look forward to watching her grow with our freshmen. She is a great start to our 2017 recruiting class,” Wiedemann said.     WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Nineteen students from the Agriculture Department at Missouri State University-West Plains recently placed in competitions at the 2016 Missouri Postsecondary Agriculture Student (PAS) Organization’s annual conference and competition Nov. 9-11 in West Plains.

  • Prequalification Dec. 7 for next Ozarks Food Harvest delivery

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The next prequalification for the Ozarks Food Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will be from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the West Plains Public Library Community Room, 750 W. Broadway. This will be the last mobile food pantry prequalification and distribution in West Plains.
