    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – They went toe-to-toe with one of the best junior college teams in the nation last night, Jan. 16, but the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball team came up short against Region 16 rival and No. 6 Mineral Area College Cardinals 91-88 in a double overtime heart-breaker at Joe Paul Evans Arena in the West Plains Civic Center.

  • Nominations sought for honorary associate’s degree

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Officials at Missouri State University-West Plains are seeking nominations for an honorary associate’s degree, which will be awarded at the 2017 commencement ceremony in May.

  • Jennifer Walker receives Staff Excellence in University Service Award

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Jennifer Walker, who was promoted from financial aid counselor to financial aid coordinator at Missouri State University-West Plains on Jan. 1, received a Staff Excellence in University Service Award during the annual Staff Service Awards program Jan. 11 at Missouri State University in Springfield.
    JENNIFER WALKER, who was promoted from financial aid counselor to financial aid coordinator at Missouri State University-West Plains on Jan. 1, received a Staff Excellence in University Service Award during the annual Staff Service Awards program Jan. 11 at Missouri State University in Springfield. The award is given to full-time staff members “who have made significant contributions to the university community.     WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball team will face two important tests this week when they take on two nationally-ranked teams, No. 19 Indian Hills Community College this evening, Jan. 10, in Ottumwa, Iowa, and No. 6 Mineral Area College, Park Hills, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, in Joe Paul Evans Arena at the West Plains Civic Center.
