    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – A variety of patriotic music performed by the West Plains High School Zizzer Pride Band and “mini-interviews” of three local veterans by award-winning journalist Ed Fillmer will highlight the 18th annual “A Musical Salute to Veterans” program at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the West Plains Civic Center arena.

    ACTOR DANNY RUSSEL will give a one-hour performance as Abraham Lincoln at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 as part of the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit “One Life: The Mask of Lincoln” hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains’ University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department and the West Plains Council on the Arts Nov. 2-27 at the Gallery on the Mezzanine at the civic center.
