WEST PLAINS, Mo.– Creation, evolution, science and the Bible will be the topic of a free presentation and discussion sponsored by Christian Campus House set for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, in Melton Hall Room 112 on the Missouri State University-West Plains campus.
The presenter will be Dr. Charles Jackson from the Creation Truth Foundation (CTF), a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Noble, Okla., that is dedicated to Christian-based education in creation science and worldview studies, organizers said. Jackson is CTF’s main speaker at university campuses. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology and master’s degrees in science education and environmental biology from George Mason University, and he earned a doctorate in science education at the University of Virginia. A lifetime member of Mensa and the Creation Research Society, Jackson has lectured worldwide at both churches and conferences and has participated regularly in public debates and discussions on university campuses. He is recognized as an approved speaker by the Institute for Creation Research.
Founded by Dr. G. Thomas Sharp in 1989, CTF specializes in providing speakers for churches and conferences; educational resources for teens and adults; and classroom training for church leaders in biblical worldview studies and creation science. CTF speakers have traveled worldwide and regularly participate in open debates and discussions at colleges and universities, organizers said.
“Whether you are an atheist or a believer, a professor or a student, you are invited to participate and join in the discussion,” said Christian Campus House Director/Minister Nate Cooper.
