WEST PLAINS, Mo. – “Serving the Campus and Community: Garnett Library Highlights” will be the topic of the Friends of the Garnett Library monthly luncheon meeting Friday, April 13, on the Missouri State University-West Plains campus.
Sylvia Kuhlmeier, director of library services at the university’s Garnett Library, will present the program, explaining how the library is an important hub of campus life. “This program will look at how our students use the Garnett Library, as well as services extended to faculty,” she said.
Resources available to the community also will be highlighted. “It is often said that the best kept secret is the fact that community members, whether living inside or outside the city limits, can use the Garnett Library,” Kuhlmeier pointed out.
MEETING DETAILS
The luncheon and meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the library, 304 W. Trish Knight St. “Attendees will see the Friends’ latest project, new landscaping, as they enter the library,” Kuhlmeier said.
Parking is available in the lot off Trish Knight Street between the library and Looney Hall and in the parking lots behind Looney Hall.
Cost of the meal is $10, payable at the door. Those wishing to eat should make a reservation by calling 417-255-7940 or emailing FriendsofGarnettLibrary@MissouriState.edu by Tuesday, April 10.
