Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?
I chose Missouri State University-West Plains because I wanted to go to a school fairly far away from my hometown to really experience life on my own.
How would you describe your experience here?
My experience at Missouri State University-West Plains has been great so far. I have met so many amazing friends and made memories I will never forget.
What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?
My favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains is by far the people I have met. I have made lifelong friendships that, without MSU-WP, I would have never found.
What has been your favorite course?
My favorite courses have been my honors courses because they have opened my mind a lot and really forced me to think hard about certain things.
How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?
The faculty and staff at MSU-WP have always made it known that they are here for us, for anything we need, and they’ve always backed that promise.
How did you choose your major?
While I’m only doing general studies at MSU-WP, that allowed me to have time to decide that I want to become a speech pathologist. I chose this career because I want to do something to help people, and I feel that speech pathology would be a very rewarding career.
What have you learned from the William and Virgina Darr Honors Program that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?
From the honors program, I have learned an entirely new level of critical thinking that I hadn’t really experienced before. Knowing this critical thinking will help me to become more knowledgeable in any subject in life.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are kind of open at this point. I am either going to Springfield to go to Missouri State, or I am going to Columbia to go to MIZZOU.
