Ad sales beginning for NJCAA National Volleyball Championship program
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Members of the ad committee of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Volleyball Tournament organizing committee in West Plains have begun selling ads for the official tournament program.
Tournament Co-Director Lee Freeman said ad committee members will be canvassing West Plains and the surrounding areas in the next few weeks, contacting business owners to see if they would like to place an ad in this year’s tournament program.
The 2012 NJCAA Division I Women’s National Volleyball Championship Tournament, featuring 16 of the best junior college teams in the nation, will take place Nov. 15-17 at the West Plains Civic Center.
Tournament organizers remind this event provides a substantial economic boost to the community, as teams from across the country and their fans stay in local motels, eat at local restaurants, shop in local stores, and purchase gasoline and other items from other area businesses.
“When you consider it is estimated that every dollar visitors spend in West Plains is turned over seven times before it leaves the community, this event creates approximately $1.12 million in economic impact,” said Tournament Co-Directors Rick and Lois Frazier.
For more information about the tournament or to place an ad in the program, contact Freeman at 417-256-9494 or by e-mail at jfreema4@amfam.com.
