A FASHION SHOW featuring traditional attire from Central Asia and the Middle East modeled by Missouri State University-West Plains students was one of the highlights of the “Journey Through Central Asia and the Mideast” reception Feb. 25 at the West Plains Civic Center. The event, hosted by the college’s University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department, capped the department’s month-long February Film Series, which featured movies about these regions. In addition to the fashion show, the 174 community members, faculty, staff and students who attended also enjoyed tasty cuisine common in those areas of the world. Items used in the fashion show were on loan from area residents who have lived or worked in these regions, organizers said. (Missouri State-West Plains Photo)
