    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Films that bring attention to the daily experiences of people with disabilities is the theme of the 18th annual February Film Series hosted by the University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department at Missouri State University-West Plains.
    THIS YEAR’S FEBRUARY Film Series hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains features movies that bring attention to the daily experiences of those with disabilities.   • Indie band Bella Donna will perform at the civic center Jan. 21

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – An indie band that blends blues, jazz and traditional elements of the Ozarks will take the West Plains Civic Center stage at 7 p.m. Jan. 21. Bella Donna, a five-member band that layers sophisticated vocals with guitar, mandolin, bass, horn and drums, will be the first performance of the year offered by Missouri State University-West Plains’ University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department.
    A FUSION OF BLUES, jazz and traditional Ozark music will fill the West Plains Civic Center theater when Bella Donna takes center stage at 7 p.m. Jan. 21.   • Annual report shows SBTDC served over 100 clients in 2015-16

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Officials with the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC), hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains, have released the center’s annual report for 2015-2016, and statistics show staff served a total of 127 local entrepreneurs from October 2015 through September 2016.

  • ‘A Musical Salute to Veterans’ will feature patriotic music, ‘mini-interviews’ with veterans

    WEST PLAINS, Mo. – A variety of patriotic music performed by the West Plains High School Zizzer Pride Band and “mini-interviews” of three local veterans by award-winning journalist Ed Fillmer will highlight the 18th annual “A Musical Salute to Veterans” program at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the West Plains Civic Center arena.
