WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Area fans of Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball can meet members of this year’s team at Midnight Madness Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the West Plains Civic Center.
This free event, which will follow the 6 p.m. Grizzly Volleyball match against East Central College, will include a variety of audience contests, giveaways, three-point and slam dunk contests for the players, and a free pancake and sausage breakfast for everyone, according to Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Yancey Walker. In addition, a special historical unveiling will take place, he added.
Doors open at 9:45 p.m., and everyone is encouraged to embrace the event’s 1970s theme and dress in their favorite attire from that decade, Walker added.
“We hope this year’s Midnight Madness will again be a huge success,” Walker said. “It should be a great time and a great opportunity to introduce our team to the community. This is something we hope to continue every year.”
