WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Dr. Nancye McClure, professor of English at Missouri State University-West Plains, was recognized for her 11 1/2 years of service to the university during a recent retirement reception at Kellett Hall.  McClure joined the university as an instructor on Aug. 13, 2001, and was promoted to assistant professor on Aug. 12, 2002.  On Aug. 14, 2006, she was promoted to associate professor and granted tenure, and on Aug. 15, 2011, she was promoted to professor.  Her official retirement date will be Feb. 1, 2013.  At left, she receives a framed certificate from Chancellor Drew Bennett.  (Missouri State-West Plains Photo)
