WEST PLAINS, Mo. – An informational meeting for area residents interested in pursuing a secondary math education degree will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, in Melton Hall Room 112 at Missouri State University-West Plains.
The meeting is being hosted by officials in Missouri State-West Plains’ academic affairs office and faculty from the mathematics department.
Organizers are exploring options with officials at Missouri State University in Springfield that will allow students to start on the secondary math education degree locally.
“This program would work particulary well for area teachers working in middle schools who would like to teach high school math,” organizers said.
