WEST PLAINS, Mo. – A review of last year’s STEM Fair and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) will be the topic of the next Friends of the Garnett Library monthly luncheon meeting Friday, Jan. 10, on the Missouri State University-West Plains campus.
The luncheon and meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in rooms 104 and 105 on the lower level of the Lybyer Technology Center. Parking is available in the lot off Cass Avenue on the north side of the building.
Assistant Professor of Mathematics Jerry Trick will be the guest speaker. In addition to the fair and STEM careers, Trick also will discuss his department’s latest efforts to work with the education and mathematics departments at Missouri State University in Springfield to bring the Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education-Mathematics degree to West Plains through Missouri State Outreach.
