TWELVE STUDENTS at Missouri State University-West Plains have been awarded TRiO Grant Scholarships for the 2014-15 academic year. To be eligible for the scholarship, TRiO students must complete two semesters with a cumulative grade point average above 2.75 and participate in TRiO events. TRiO Student Support Services is a program that helps first generation and low income students make a successful transition to college and develop the skills and motivation to graduate. Each year, $10,000 ini scholarships are funded by the federal TRiO Grant Program to reward their progress.
