Students honored for completing high school equivalency exams

WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Fifteen students participated in the July 20 graduation ceremony for the Missouri State University-West Plains Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program.

During the past year, 36 students participated in the program, earning high school equivalencies and certificates from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Graduates included, front row in photo at left, Krystal Zdan, West Plains. Second row from left: Josephine Potter, Thayer; and Megan Orr and Robert Solano, both of West Plains. Third row: Bailee Neagle, Michael Powers, C.J. Newton and Brady Moss, all of West Plains. Fourth row: David Moss, Amanda Favorite and Maryhelen Huckabee, all of West Plains; and Pete Chaisson, Peace Valley. Back row: Brandon Barrett, West Plains; Stephen Ator, Tecumseh; and Natasha Bourgoin, West Plains.

Also receiving certificates were Damon Barnett, Willow Springs; Jamie Bryson, Adam Foster, Mitchell Gleason, Kendra Hale, Alec Hill, Megan Hurtado, Daniel Johnson, Jesse Johnston, Jennifer Kraus, Katherine Oehlerking, Melissa Shanks, Heather Stone, Aaron Stubbs and Marvin Swanson, all of West Plains; Kellanie Gordon, Peace Valley; Louise King, Koshkonong; Luke Lacy, Caulfield; John Shields, Alton; and Kiley Watson and Ronda Watson, both of Birch Tree.
