SEVERAL MEMBERS OF the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) student business organization at Missouri State University-West Plains placed in contests at the 2016 PBL Show-Me Leadership Conference Oct. 15 at Silver Dollar City in Branson. From left, Darian Williams, West Plains, placed first in Accounting Concepts and second in Management; Jim Listopad, Cabool, placed first in Parliamentary Procedure; Edward Schultz, Mammoth Spring, Ark., placed first in Management; Weston Mitchell, Cabool, placed third in Management; and Derek McGinnis, Pottersville, placed first in Communications. Local chapter members Lindsey Oliver, Thayer, and Ashley Marble, Vanzant, also attended. Associate Professor of Economics Dr. Ed Birdyshaw accompanied the students to the event.
