WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Area fans of Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Basketball can get their first look at this year’s team and meet the players at the annual Moonlight Madness scrimmage Monday, Oct. 2, at the West Plains Civic Center.
This year’s event, sponsored by Wood & Huston Bank, will begin at 6 p.m. with a bean bag toss tournament and an open practice for the team. Player introductions will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a scrimmage and games for fans in which prizes will be awarded. Members of the Grizzly Basketball and Cheer Teams will sign autographs, and the basketball players will participate in slam dunk and three-point shooting contests. Admission is free.
“I want to thank Wood & Huston for its support,” said Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Chris Popp. “It’s a great opportunity for the fans to interact with our players,” said Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Chris Popp. “They’re a fun group throughout the season, and I know they’ll put on a show Monday.”
