WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Students in the Health Information Technology (HIT) Association at Missouri State University-West Plains celebrated Health Information Professionals Week March 18-24.
As part of the celebration, they started a community service project to benefit students at Head Start in West Plains.
They are asking their fellow students and members of the community to bring items to Looney Hall Room 204 through April 19. Items include socks, underwear, shampoo, soap/body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste and hair brushes and combs.
The items will then be given to Head Start officials and provided to students ages three through five who need them, organizers said.
The HIT Association supports students seeking the Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology degree at Missouri State-West Plains.
