A free workshop on July 25 will help area small business owners expand their online presence.
“Small Business Summer School” is a 90-minute “brown-bag-lunch” livestream set to begin at 11 a.m. in the community room of the Greater Ozarks Center for Advanced Technology, 395 Jackie D. Garrett Ave., in West Plains.
It is being hosted by the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri State University-West Plains.
“We are excited to be partnering with Google, Constant Contact, LinkedIn and Vistaprint to host this free workshop,” said SBTDC Coordinator Darrell Hampsten.
“Speakers from great companies will be sharing key strategies, tools and products to prepare business owners for a successful second half of the year, including the critical holiday season,” he added.
Although there is no fee to attend, pre-registration is encouraged.
Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch or have it delivered to GOCAT.
“We want people to come learn, eat and have some fun,” Hampsten said. “We have some giveaways for people to take home with them, but to keep the event free and informal, we can’t provide lunch.
“I believe the information being shared will be valuable for any business owner or manager,” Hampsten said.
To reserve a seat at the workshop, visit the “SBTDC in West Plains” Facebook page and search for the “Small Business Summer School” event.
