Grizzly Volleyball team earns AVCA Team Academic Award

The 2017 Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Volleyball team has earned the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

The award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

The Grizzlies had a grade point average of 3.58 this past year.

This is the third consecutive year the Grizzlies qualified for the AVCA award.

Last week, it was announced that the Grizzlies also received the Academic Team Award from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
