A variety of patriotic music will be performed by the West Plains High School Zizzer Pride Band at the 20th annual “A Musical Salute to Veterans” program at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in the West Plains Civic Center arena.
Hosted by the Missouri State University-West Plains University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department, the event is free and open to all.
“It’s always been a great pleasure to sponsor this event over the years to honor our area veterans and remember those who served,” said U/CP Director Brenda Polyard. “To include a wonderful group of students from West Plains R-7 Schools sharing their talents makes it all the more admirable.”
The band’s musical selections for the event will honor those who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces, organizers said.
