The annual Teacher Placement Day event will take place 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, in Gohn Hall, 603 W. Main Street, on the Missouri State University-West Plains campus.
The event is hosted by the Missouri State University Teacher Education Completion Program on the Missouri State-West Plains campus.
Students who are in their final semester of an education program and education program graduates are invited to attend, organizers said.
They can meet with administrators from school districts in Howell, Douglass, Oregon, Ozark, Texas, Shannon and Wright counties in Missouri about teaching positions in those districts.
Administrators from districts in north-central Arkansas also will be on hand to meet with prospective teachers.
Those attending may apply for open positions in the represented districts during the event, organizers said.
Prior to the March 1 event, a resumé workshop will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. Feb. 8, and mock interviews will be conducted from 4 to 5 p.m. Feb. 15.
Participants should bring their new resumés on March 1 to obtain feedback and stay for an academic panel discussion, organizers said.
This is a free event open to Missouri State University education program students and graduates, as well as students and graduates of education programs at other area institutions, organizers said.
Any area school districts that would like to participate in any or all events should preregister, organizers added.
