“My experience here has been phenomenal!”

Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?

I chose Missouri State-West Plains because of the A+ program and the many opportunities it has.

How would you describe your experience here?

My experience here has been phenomenal! Coming into college, I was not looking to be very involved. But being involved so much on campus, I have made so many connections and lifetime friends that I will carry with me always.

What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?

My favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains is being involved in everything on campus. Even though I don’t live on campus, I am involved so much with different organizations such as TRiO and Student Government Association.

What has been your favorite course?

My favorite course so far would be psychology with Judy Carr. She makes the classes so interesting and fun!

How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?

The faculty and staff are amazing here. They truly put the students first and want the best for them. They have helped me with my degree and made my life easier.

How did you choose your major?

I chose elementary education because, through all my ideas of what I wanted to do in life, being a teacher is what interested me most. It’s something that I will always enjoy!

What have you learned from education department that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?

I have learned that it is a degree I can take with me anywhere, and at the end of the day, there is always a reward in being an education major.

What are your plans after graduation?

After I graduate with my Associate of Arts in Teaching, I will be moving to Florida to finish a bachelor’s degree and soon after my master’s degree.
