Information about Missouri State University-West Plains’ agriculture programs will be presented at the March 8 Friends of the Garnett Library meeting.
Three students who have qualified for the National Professional Agriculture Student (PAS) Conference March 13-16 in Loveland, Colorado, will be the keynote speakers.
The students will explain how they qualified for competitions at the national conference through their performance at the Missouri PAS Conference last November at Crowder College in Neosho, organizers said.
They will give an overview of the competitions in which they will compete and how they will prepare for them, organizers added.
In addition, they will tell Friends members how Missouri State-West Plains and the agriculture department has impacted their career preparation, organizers said.
The luncheon and meeting will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in rooms 104 and 105 on the lower level of the Lybyer Technology Center. Parking is available in the lot off Cass Avenue on the north side of the building.
Cost of the meal is $10, payable at the door. Those wishing to eat should make a reservation by calling 417-255-7940 or emailing FriendsofGarnettLibrary@MissouriState.edu by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 6.
