More than two dozen items were collected for the Bridges Program at West Plains High School during a charity Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament.
The event was sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society chapter at Missouri State University-West Plains.
Items collected as entry fees included foodstuffs and other pantry items, organizers said. They will be given to the Bridges Program for distribution to high school students in need.
The event took place April 23 at the Lybyer Technology Center. Eighteen people participated, organizers said.
