Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?
The affordability of tuition, small class sizes and location made me feel perfectly at home with the university!
How would you describe your experience here?
Overwhelmingly positive. It is obvious the faculty and staff care a lot about my personal journey as a student and make the college experience worthwhile.
What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?
The campus events and opportunities I have as a Student Ambassador have made me feel like such an important part of the community, for which I am very thankful!
What has been your favorite course?
Professor Jason McCollom’s history courses, of which I have taken two, are always well thought out and engaging, though I would take any course he would teach. He is an incredible professor and we are all very thankful for him.
How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?
Coming into the university and transferring with a less-than-stellar GPA to raising it in such a short amount of time could not have been done without the assistance I received from the university. The educational and professional opportunities I have been given are continuing to change my life.
How did you choose your major?
I worried endlessly about being precise in my major. I am glad the general studies degree program offered here will prepare me to continue my education in the future!
What have you learned at Missouri State-West Plains that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?
The efforts and opportunities we are putting into our education now should not be taken for granted.
What are your plans after graduation?
I hope to transfer to finish my bachelor’s and hopefully obtain my master’s, either in-state or possibly overseas!
