Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?

It’s a great environment and convenient for furthering my academics.

How would you describe your experience here?

My experience here at MSU-WP has been great; it has allowed me to improve my intellectual formation, as well as my human formation.

What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?

My favorite thing about MSU-WP is the dedication and service of the teachers and staff, who work hard to make the students and college successful.

What has been your favorite course?

My favorite courses have been my history courses with Dr. (Jason) McCollom.

How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?

They have been very helpful, patient, understanding and flexible. College, on its own, is a grind. It can be even harder when you have a job or when unexpected obstacles set you back. The faculty and staff have been great in giving support and understanding when it is needed.

How did you choose your major?

I chose this major because I have found that, no matter what path I take in life, teaching will be at the core of everything that I do.

What have you learned from Education Department that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?

No matter what you do, it will be tough at first. You will second-guess your decision and want to quit. Don’t give up! Once you make it through that tribulation, you will come out stronger and more confident in yourself more than ever before.

What are your plans after graduation?

After I graduate, I plan on continuing on to Springfield to get my Bachelor of Arts in Teaching-Secondary Education, History. After that, I may continue towards a career in educational teaching or return to the seminary to continue Priestly formation.
