Brenda Polyard, director of the University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department at Missouri State University-West Plains, has received a Staff Excellence in University Service Award.

The award was presented during the annual Staff Service Awards program Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Missouri State University in Springfield.

The award is given to full-time staff members “who have made significant contributions to the university community. They strive to do their jobs well on a daily basis, go above and beyond the call of duty in a special situation and have contributed in a significant way to the success of the university.”

Polyard received a personalized plaque and $1,500 cash award from Missouri State University System President Clif Smart.
