I chose to attend Missouri State-West Plains because it’s convenient location allows me to stay close to family.

My experience here has been a good. The professors are knowledgeable and the student body is friendly.
What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?
My favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains is the clean and close-knit campus.
What has been your favorite course?
My favorite course has been HST 121 (Survey of U.S. History to 1877) with Dr. Jason McCollom.
How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?
The faculty and staff have always answered my questions in a timely fashion and have guided me through my time here at Missouri State-West Plains.
How did you choose your major?
I chose my major because I like to teach people, and it allows me to get a bachelor’s degree without having to move.
What have you learned from the Education Department that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?
I am starting to learn that children need constant attention. They have required me to start getting teaching experience, and I have begun to understand what is going to be expected of me, once I am a teacher.
What are your plans after graduation?
After I graduate, I plan on getting a teaching job somewhere in Missouri, as either an elementary school teacher or I will get certified to teach a higher grade. After getting more experience, I hope to end up teaching overseas or somewhere “different.”
