Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?
I chose Missouri State-West Plains partly because of the short commute to and from home. Also, because it is a place where I could get my college career reestablished.
How would you describe your experience here?
Unique. Native Missourians and the collective body of people who are associated with Missouri State-West Plains are what make this place special.
What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?
The personal growth that I have experienced since becoming a full-time student at this school.
What has been your favorite course?
College Algebra (MTH 135), primarily because it challenged me in many different ways.
How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?
The primary assistance I have received as a student here has been from TRiO Student Support Services and those who work there. They have guided me throughout different processes and situations. I enjoy communicating with qualified employees who give students the correct information and resources in order to become successful.
How did you choose your major?
During my time in the workforce, primarily in a corporate environment, business-related functions were revealed to me in detail. That’s when I knew that I wanted to know more about how a business operates and know what it takes to coordinate or direct a business from within. Ultimately, I am interested in what it takes to become an industry leader or at least be set apart from the rest of the competition.
What have you learned at the university that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?
Each department has dispersed its own particular bits of useful information to me. This can be traced back to the people who lead those departments. Each subject has its own particular vibe set by the teacher, so it is interesting to have the opportunity to see these different patterns of teaching lead me to success. All of the subjects I have currently studied have, in some way, given me a foundational knowledge that can be translated and applied to the real world. These principals and relevant information can be utilized in helping me be successful.
What are your plans after graduation?
If the Lord is willing, after Missouri State-West Plains, I plan to pursue a degree in I.T. – Infrastructure.
