Several staff members at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) were recognized for their years of service to the university during the annual Employee Recognition Picnic May 7 at the campus’ amphitheater.
Awards are handed out annually to university employees who have reached one of the five-year milestones of service to the Missouri State University System.
Long-time employee recognized
Special recognition was given to Neva Parrott, assistant librarian at the Garnett Library, for 50 years of employment at MSU-WP. Parrott was hired in 1970 as a librarian with a faculty rank of instructor. She has since been promoted in faculty rank to assistant professor.
Parrott was given a collage of images from her time with the university by Missouri State University System President Clif Smart and MSU-WP Interim Chancellor Dennis Lancaster.
