Two members of the Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) will be recognized as members of PTK’s Missouri All-Academic Team during a ceremony April 28 in Columbia.
Jonathan Branstetter, Hartville, will receive second team honors, and LaNell Langston, Viola, Ark., will receive third team honors.
Branstetter is a sophomore Associate of Arts in General Studies major who plans to transfer to MSU in Springfield. Langston, president of the chapter, is a junior Associate of Science in Nursing major who plans to transfer to the University of Texas at Arlington to pursue the nurse practitioner master’s program.
Both will receive certificates, medallions and scholarships, according to PTK officials.
Since 1994, Missouri has honored outstanding PTK scholar-leaders with a state academic team program. PTK is an international academic honor society for community college students.
