Name: Ahmea Parham

What is your hometown? Kansas City, MO

Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?

The campus accepts A+ program funds and it offers a campus in Dalian, China.

How would you describe your experience here?

Very good! I’ve met so many nice people!

What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?

My favorite things have been being on the Grizzly Cheer Team and the many school events on campus.

What has been your favorite course?

Public speaking was my favorite course because I was able to meet new people and work on fine-tuning my public speaking skills while having fun.

How have the faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?

My academic advisor has been so helpful to me in many ways. She is always ready to meet with me no matter how frequently and has no problem answering my millions of questions.

How did you choose your major?

I enjoy international relations because it gives me a better understanding of all people. I’ve learned things I would not normally have learned in most classes. I plan to take my degree in international relations and go to law school to later become a transnational lawyer to help people all over the world.

What have you learned from the admissions department that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?

I have learned the importance of truly understanding someone no matter who they are or where they come from. I believe that I can use that in life no matter where I go.

What are your plans after graduation?

After graduation, I would like to finish my degree in international relations and then move on to law school.
