Due to a scheduling conflict, the topic of the Oct. 14 Friends of the Garnett Library meeting has been changed, officials announced.
Instead of a presentation about the new ASCEND (Autism Support Can Empower New Directions) Program, those attending will hear about Missouri State University-West Plains’ (MSU-WP) correctional center programs from Dr. Michael Orf, vice chancellor of academic affairs.
The ASCEND Program will be the topic of the Friends of the Garnett Library meeting in November, officials said.
The Oct. 14 meeting will be from noon to 1 p.m. in rooms 104 and 105 of the Lybyer Technology Center on the MSU-WP campus. Parking will be available in the lot on the north side of the building off Cass Avenue. Masking is optional, organizers said.
Cost of the box lunch is $10, payable at the door. Those wishing to eat should make a reservation by calling 417-255-7940 or emailing FriendsofGarnettLibrary@MissouriState.edu by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12.
