More about the band
Under the direction of Rocky Long, Melody Alford and Curtis Stalker, the award-winning Zizzer Pride Band performs more than 50 times each school year for parades, band festivals, athletic events, concerts and other community-related events, officials said.
The band will travel to Orlando, Florida, in February 2023 to perform at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Main Street Parade.
Students also will participate in a creative workshop while at Disney World and will have hands-on experience in creating a soundtrack for a Disney movie. Students will work with a professional conductor and participate in the process of learning how music scores are created and aligned with video to produce another award-winning Disney feature movie.
