Name: Brock DeWeese

What is your hometown? Willow Springs, MO
Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains? I live in West Plains and it’s cheaper than other schools.
How would you describe your experience here? Positive. Not really any negatives.
What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains? Being a part of the Grizzly eSports team.
What has been your favorite course, and why? Mine probably has been Fundamentals of Public Speaking with Dr. Gary Phillips. The people in the class really grew together and it really felt like a group of friends rather than a class.
How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains? They have helped me in ways outside of the classroom. They helped me be myself outside of my close friends. I guess with some homework from time to time also.
How did you choose your major? I don’t know what major I want, so I did the most generic.
What have you learned from your time at Missouri State-West Plains that will help you succeed in your education, career or life? Either English, which has taught me how to write an effective essay, or Philosophy, which has taught me to look at a problem in different ways.
