Student Spotlight: Anna Stulce

2023 October 9 by University Communications

“I have had a lot of fun meeting new people and attending all the Welcome Week activities.”

Name:
 Anna Stulce

Academic Program:  Associate of Arts in General Studies

What is your hometown?  Republic, MO

Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?  I loved the campus and felt incredibly welcomed by both the admissions staff and the education department.

How would you describe your experience here?  I have had a lot of fun meeting new people and attending all the Welcome Week activities. I also have really enjoyed getting involved in CCH (Christian Campus House).

What has been your favorite thing about Missouri State-West Plains?  My favorite thing about MSU-WP so far is the Student Ambassadors program because it’s been really fun, and I’ve made a lot of new friends.

What has been your favorite course? And why?  My favorite course is Introductory Psychology because it is really interesting to learn about and I think it will help me a lot as a teacher.

How have faculty and staff helped you during your time at Missouri State-West Plains?  One way a staff member has helped me is when my IDS (Interdisciplinary Studies) professor went out of his way to help me talk to the technology desk about a problem I was having and within a few hours, it was completely fixed.

How did you choose your major?  I chose education because I have loved working with kids my whole life. I also have had really amazing teachers and I want to be that for someone else.

What have you learned at Missouri State-West Plains that will help you succeed in your education, career or life?  One thing that I have learned from the education department is that there are so many ways a teacher can make a difference in a child’s life.

What are your plans after graduation?  After graduation, I plan to attend the MSU-Springfield and get my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
