Area residents interested in taking classes at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) during the 2024 summer session and/or fall semester can now browse through a list of courses online.
The complete 2024 summer session/fall semester course listing can be found at WP.MissouriState.edu/Schedule. The schedule includes classes available at the West Plains campus, in Mountain Grove and online, officials said.
More than 70 classes are available during the summer session, and more than 300 classes are listed for the fall semester.
New student registration
New students can begin the enrollment process by applying for admission at WP.MissouriState.edu/ApplyNow. For assistance, call the admissions office at 417-255-7955 or email WPAdmissions@MissouriState.edu.
Once they are admitted, they may contact the advising and academic support office at 417-255-7222 or email WPAdvising@MissouriState.edufor orientation information and assistance with scheduling their courses.
Regular registration for the 2024 summer session and fall semester begins April 20. It continues until June 2 for summer session classes and Aug. 18 for fall semester classes.
Current student registration
Current students can register for summer session and fall semester classes during an early registration period beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, April 15, and continuing through Friday, April 19.
Students can prepare for early registration by consulting with their adviser during Advisement for Success Kickoff (ASK) Week April 8-12. Students should contact their advisers by phone or university email to make an appointment.
Students are permitted to register during early registration according to a schedule based on the number of credit hours completed, officials said. The early registration schedule for 2024 summer session and fall semester classes can be viewed at WP.MissouriState.edu/EarlyRegistration. Students are encouraged to register during appointed times, but they also may register after that time, officials said.
Transfer and readmitted students also may register during early registration based on their number of completed credit hours. They should contact the advising and academic support office to schedule an advising appointment.

Registration information for veterans
Officials with the Veterans Services office will be available during these same advisement and registration times to assist veterans and their dependents with registration and required Veterans Administration forms, according to Mark White, director of the Veterans Incentive Program (VIP) at Missouri State-West Plains. All students must complete the registration process by the first day of class, officials said. Summer session classes begin June 3; fall semester classes start Aug. 19.
