Growing Music Program topic of Dec. 12 Friends of the Garnett Library meeting

Rocky will discuss the continued growth of the instrumental ensembles, the upcoming launch of the new vocal music program, outreach to area public schools, and the vision for future program needs.

The December meeting of the Friends of the Garnett Library will be held on Friday, Dec. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. This meeting will be held at Putnam Hall, located at 129 Jefferson Avenue, West Plains, Mo. Rocky Long, director of music at MSU-West Plains, will present the program, which will include a performance by members of the Jazz Ensemble. Rocky will discuss the continued growth of the instrumental ensembles, the upcoming launch of the new vocal music program, outreach to area public schools, and the vision for future program needs.

Cost of the lunch is $10, payable at the door. Those wishing to eat should make reservation by calling 417-255-7940 or emailing FriendsofGarnettLibrary@MissouriState.edu by Tuesday, Dec. 9. Everyone is welcome to attend.
