Why did you choose to attend Missouri State-West Plains?
I chose MSU-West Plains because it’s close to home and I got come with some of my friends from home.
Why did you choose your program of study?
I chose my degree program because cooking is my passion and I aspire to be a chef in the future.
What has been your favorite course and why?
My favorite class was world regional geography because history has always been one of my favorite things and I got to learn how history goes right along with geography.
Is there a faculty or staff member who has made a significant impact on your college experience?
I would say that the staff member who has made the biggest impact in my time here is my advisor Brenda Smith.
What clubs, organizations, or activities are you involved in?
Christian Campus House
What has been your most memorable college moment so far?
It would be hard to choose just one moment, but I would have to say just getting to build new friendships and meeting new people.
What challenges have you overcome so far in college?
The biggest challenge that I have had to overcome was not having a lot of friends, but through my time here I’ve built so many friendships with so many people.
What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is Hass-Darr Hall and spending time there studying and catching up with friends.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
When I was in high school I got to go to a career center to take Culinary Arts classes and I got to compete in the World Food Championships with two of my classmates and we placed ninth.
What are your plans after MSU-WP?
I plan on going into the workforce and continue to learn as much as I can, so that someday I can open my own restaurant.
