Officials with the Friends of the Garnett Library invite all to attend the first meeting for the 2026-2027 academic year, on Sept. 11 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Carol Silvey Student Union, located inside Hass-Darr Hall, 201 Garfield Avenue.

The meeting will begin with a brief campus update by Chancellor Mulligan. Then the program will focus on enrollment and recruitment. A panel of speakers will include Marc Hubbell, assistant director of recruitment, and a few of the second-year student ambassadors.

Cost of the lunch is $10, payable at the door. Those wishing to eat should make a reservation by calling 417-255-7940 or emailing FriendsofGarnettLibrary@MissouriState.edu by September 9.

“Everyone is welcome to attend,” organizers said. “We welcome you as a guest, or you can find out about joining the organization at the meeting.”
