SEVERAL MEMBERS of the 2016-2017 Grizzly Volleyball team at Missouri State University-West Plains received individual awards at the annual Grizzly Sports Reception Tuesday evening, April 11, at the West Plains Civic Center’s Magnolia Room. From left, Blanca Izquierdo, Madrid, Spain, Setter/Most Assists (1,374 assists) and Grizzly Awards; Autumn Reese, Ozark, Best Defensive Player (578 digs), Service Reception (2.44 passing rating) and Grizzly Awards; Catja Weijzen, Houten, Holland, Best Offensive Player Award (431 kills, .316 attacking percentage); Greer Rogers, Fort Smith, Ark., Blocking Award (87 total blocks, 28 solo blocks); and Maja Petronijevic, Belgrade, Serbia, Grizzly and Marvin Wheeler Academic Excellence Awards.
