Area residents interested in applying to the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) regular track program at Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) have until Sept. 1 to submit their application.

The Sept. 1 deadline is for students who wish to apply for a seat in the cohort that will run from January 2023 through December 2024.

Prospective nursing students must be admitted to the university to apply for the nursing program. They also must have completed required testing, including the Kaplan Nursing Admissions test.

Testing dates have been added at MSU-WP’s testing center to accommodate the deadline. More information about those testing dates can be obtained by calling 417-255-7739.

The ASN program accepts 25 new regular track students each semester. Students who meet all application criteria for the competitive program will be notified of their acceptance by Oct. 15 so they can register for summer and fall classes, she said.
