SEVERAL FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS at Missouri State University-West Plains teamed up with officials from Habitat for Humanity for Howell County on July 27 to refurbish the picnic tables at the pavillion in Peoples Park in West Plains. The community service project was part of the university’s year-long Operation 50K initiative, which encourages faculty, staff, students and those with ties to the university to give 50,000 hours of volunteer service to their communities in honor of the campus’ 50th anniversary this year.
